When Sarah goes to London to study at the Royal College of Art for three months, Wilfred eats nothing but junk food. He quickly becomes obese and the vet warns Adam that Wilfred will die if he doesn't shape up fast. Cynthia Bennett, a volunteer from People and Pets, helps Adam get Wilfred back into shape. Adam becomes attracted to the very pleasant Cynthia but Wilfred tells him that he would miss Sarah's fiery personality. Sarah returns to find a g-string belonging to Cynthia, but Adam assures her that everything is "above board".
