Catherine Newman is one of the characters in the show Wilfred. She is the mother of Ryan and Kristen Newman and is played by Mary Steenburgen and later Mimi Rogers.
Biography[]
She is known for being extremely distant. As a self-proclaimed free spirit, she tends to do what she wants and is often absent. However, in her time of need she does approach Ryan for his help. She also has the ability similar to Ryan's to see her cat, Mittens, as a woman in a cat suit.
