Brad Dourif (Born Bradford Claude Dourif) is an American actor, voice artist, and comedian famous for his work in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest as Billy Bibbit. He plays portrays one of Ryan's spirit guide (P.T.) and Theo in Wilfred (U.S. Series).
Brad Dourif was born in Huntington, West Virginia to actress Joan Mavis Felton and art collector Jean Henri Dourif. After his father died in 1953, he was raised by his step-father William C. Campbell. Dourif attended Aiken Preparatory School in South Carolina studying art and acting after being inspired by his mother's actress career. He later transferred to Fountain Valley School and upon graduating attended Marshall University for a brief period of time.
Dourif's career made its beginnings in his school productions and his membership with the Huntington Community Players. In the 1970s, Dourif made appearances in various plays which got him noticed by One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest director Milos Forman. His role in the movie later gained him a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor along with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor Debut and a British Academy Award for Supporting Actor.
Though he prefers to avoid being typecasted, Dourif often portrays eccentric or disturbed characters in film and television. He has also made a number of appearances in horror films including The Exorcist III and voicing Chucky for Child's Play and its six sequels.
Dourif has been married twice and has two daughters, Fiona and Kristina Dourif.
